Portman for Senate Launches Snapchat Geofilter
COLUMBUS, Ohio – Today, the Portman for Senate campaign announced it purchased a Snapchat "geofilter" surrounding Vice President Joe Biden’s economic speech at Jeni's Ice Cream in Columbus. Snapchat users in the vicinity of the event will be reminded of Ted Strickland’s awful record as governor when Ohio lost more than 350,000 jobs. The filter will be active for the duration of Biden’s visit.

"When it comes to jobs and the economy no one has a worse record than Ted Strickland. While Vice President Joe Biden will appear in Columbus today to talk about the economy, the Portman for Senate Campaign is launching a new Snapchat filter to remind voters of Strickland’s awful record as governor when Ohio lost more than 350,000 jobs and ranked 48th in job creation,” Portman campaign spokesperson Michawn Rich said. “On the other hand, Rob Portman has a strong record of delivering results for Ohio families and is leading the fight for pro-growth policies that increase wages and create more jobs. Rob’s efforts to build a brighter future for Ohioans stands in stark contrast to Ted Strickland’s failed policies of higher taxes, burdensome regulations, and bigger government."
