COLUMBUS, Ohio - The Portman for Senate campaign today released its latest web ad, "Record," detailing Governor Ted Strickland's failed record as both a governor and a congressman. The ad begins running online across Ohio immediately and is a part of an ongoing six-figure online ad buy to educate Ohio voters about Strickland's failed record. The ad links to an interactive poll where users can vote whether they think Ted Strickland was a worse governor or a worse congressman.
"It's no wonder Ted Strickland is running an 'invisible' campaign. We know he failed as Governor of Ohio when the state lost over 350,000 jobs and ranked 48th in job creation, but he also failed Ohio as a Congressman when he sponsored zero bills that became law and was ranked as one of the most ineffective and absent members of Congress," campaign manager Corry Bliss said. "Ohio voters know that they can't afford to go back to Ted Strickland's Ohio because he'd fail them again in the Senate."
